Solar energy is a kind of reproducible energy. The hydrogen is a sort of perfect energy carrier; Furthermore, it wouldn't pollute our atmosphere when the hydrogen was burnt. So, it is a vital approach to resolve the energy crisis and pollution of the environment that human how to converse the solar energy into chemical energy by splitting water with photocatalysts in a long-term.In this thesis, a series of layered nanocomposites were synthesized by a successive soft chemical reaction processes and intercalating TiO2, CdS-ZnS, Fe2O3 and Pt into the interlayer of HLaNb2O7. These samples were characterized by TG-DTA, XRD, DRS, Specific surface area analysis, Atomic absorption spectrometry analysis and Fluorescence analysis. The results indicated that TiO2, CdS-ZnS, Fe2O3 and Pt nanoparticle were pillared in the interlayer of HLaNb2O7.The photocatalytic activities of the samples were evaluated by measuring the volume of hydrogen gas evolved when the suspensions of the samples was irradiated with ultraviolet light using methyl alcohol and sulfureted sodium as cavity sacrifice agent. The results showed that the photocatalytic activities of the HLaNb2O7/TiO2, HLaNb2O7/Fe2O3 and HLaNb2O7/CdS-ZnS were superior to those of unsupported TiO2, Fe2O3 and CdS-ZnS and were enhanced by co-incorporation of Pt. Furthermore, the photocatalytic experiment also indicated that HLaNb2O7/Fe2O3 and HLaNb2O7/Cd0.8Zn0.2S exhibited photocatalytic activities even irradiated by visible light and the photocorrosion of Cdo.gZno.2S was suppressed effectively when it was incorporated in the interlayer of HLaNb2O7. Finally, the relationship between concentration of the photocatalysts and produced hydrogen volume was discussed. The results showed that, beyond the optimal concentration, the evolution of hydrogen decreased with the increase of the concentration of the photocatalysts, which might be due to the particle's dispersion was strengthened when the concentration of the photocatalysts increased.
