In this paper ,there is a study about production of nano tungsten carbide Hard alloys by plasma.First,appropriate mat erial is selected for reaction . RF-PCVD is selected in the e xperiment.Gas-gas reaction is the feasiblest in RF-PCVD tha n other ways.So ,WCl6,C2H2,H2 is used as raw materials in t he design;The chemical reaction is complicated in plasma . Advised that the caculation result of thermodynamics,the mec hanisms of reduction and carburization in plasma have been studied;In the experiment,plasma is very important as a speci al circumstance for reaction .WC is idealy produced from 15 00 C to 2700 C;In the TiO2 experiment,reaction temperatur e,evaporation temperature,residence time ,dopant are some important factors .so ,we may face the same factor in the WC experiment ;Under evaporation temperature equal to 350 C, C 2H2 flux equal to 1.3 l/min,H2 flux equal to 200 1/h ,residen ce time equal to 8 ms,electrical current equal to 0.6A ,we h ave got nano WC ,mean particle diameter is 50nm.The result s show:to get high purification WC,the high purification WC1 6 must be get and we must control : evaporation temperature, flux,residence time and so on .
