Study On Comprehensive Assessment Indexex And Method Of MSW' Compost Maturity

Because of the lag of the disposal of municipal solid waste (MSW), MSW surrounding cities was seen here and there, which was the focus and difficulty puzzled the development of many cities in the world. Compost is a disposal of MSW which accord with sustainable development. The compost used to the soil must be maturity. Immature compost has high carbon to nitrogen ration. If it used to the soil may make crop run short of nitrogen and the microbe' acute activity which may result in the scarcity of oxygen. The oxygen scarcity in the extreme may influence the growth of the crops. The maturity of the compost must be guaranteed. The parameters for compost maturity are grouped into three types: physical, chemical and biological indices. According to the researchers, there is not a unanimous parameter to evaluate compost maturity till now. In this article, MSW was composted in an aerated static box. The experiment was made for 6 times. The record of technical parameters such as temperature, moisture, volatile solid, pH, EC, C/N, NH4+-N and OUR were mensurated and analyzed. According to the data, the main conclusions are as follows: â‘ The variety of several indexes during compostingTo analyze the dada of pH, EC, C/N, NH4+-N and OUR, it found that though the raw materials were different, the variety of VS has the same law. Because of the different of raw materials, the data were different at the end of composting. The same as the pH. The variety of EC were different.In the aerated static box compost, the trend of C/N, NH4+-N and OUR were in evidence and the data went consistent at the end of composting. The index of C/N was about 15,NH4+-N was under 0.5g/kg and OUR was lower than 0.02 %/min.â‘¡Establish the criterion suit for compost maturity of the MSW' in Chongqing1) four indexes, apparent index, C/N, NH4+- N and OUR, was selected to estimate the maturity of the compost. The samples were the soil, the overrotten MSW which was landfilled for thirteen years and the compost which was composted for about thirty days and then laid there for a year. the classification were builed through the data. 3)establish the comprehensive assessment with the help of fuzzy.4)the compost' indexes such as the apparent index was classified as above classification. Then the marutiry of the compost was assessed with comprehensive assessment. We can know the compost was mature, better mature,basal mature or immature.
