A series of Schiff bases compounds have been synthesized and their structures were confirmed by IR spectroscope data, elemental analysis. Some crystal structure data were selected from CSD (The Cambridge Structural Database). Using the programs of OPECH and Fortran we written, we obtained the data of crystal models, stacking energy, geometrical parameter and symmetrical character. A systematic calculation, analysis and comparison for the selected data. In this thesis, a systematic crystal chemistry study of the effects of molecule structure on properties, which include the effects of configuration, resonance effect, planarity of molecule and intermolecular interaction, was carried but. The way of the crystallization of the compounds is also discussed.By searching, we found: a) All of nitro-substituted benzylideneanilines form C-H...0 hydrogen bond (HB), and these HB usually are bifurcated, b) The ortho-OH group with the central N atom forms a planar six-membered ring through the intramolecular hydrogen bond, which is coplanar with its attached phenyl ring, and the main resonance is the molecular keto form, c) In the crystal structures, if lack the strong formation groups of hydrogen bond, weak interactions play the important roles in the molecular self-assembling into crystal, d) Position of substituents, different substituents, intermolecular interactions have an important effect on designing non-centrosymmetrical crystals.
