The research is to utilize the young brown coal as raw material carried from MiLe county in Yunnan Province in the industrialization experiment, passing through the process of the brown coal in carbonized furnace, then can produce new carbonaceous reductants, char, coal tar an so on. The problem of pollutant from burning the young brown coal is resolved completely, and it enhances the advantage of the rich brown coal resource in Yunnan Province. New carbonaceous reductants and char are applied in copper refining and ferroalloy production, by this way the valuable coking coal and charcoal resource can been saved.The process is to produce the new carbonaceous reductants, char and the brown coal's byproduct (such as coal tar ) after the brown coal is carbonized. Firstly through more than ten days air-drying of the brown coal carried from mine to rid of the surface water, then after crushed to special size(10~ 15cm) by manpower, put into the carboniation furnace, which is the upright sections furnace, includes three sections: drying, coking and cooling section. In the drying section (at temperature 20~300C), the brown coal is put into carbonization furnace about 200 C the outer water has been volatilized basically, at the same time the volatile separate out partially ,by decarbonylation lots of dioxide charcoal has been formed. In the coking section (at temperature 300~850C ) most of volatile separate out. with temperature hoisting , between 500 C and 600 C abundant vapour of coal tar come into being in carbonization furnace. During the temperature 600C~850C the output of coal gas is increasing abundantly, however due to the secondly pyrolysis the yield of coal tar declins greatly, Through the changes of intenerate and shrinkage, the fixed carbon content is rising in char. In the cooling section char is discharged by water-cooling; Part of char is used as final product in ferroalloy industries, the rest is treated with impurity removal and brought out the new carbonaceous reductants which applied in copper refining.In the industrial experiment, the raw material is carried from Xisuobo coal mine, whose output is 180 thousand tons per year. We have built the simple road between the experimental fantory and Xisuobo coal mine, the distance is 1.5 kilometers. Somefacilities such as carbonization furnace, pools of coal tar, the purification equipment and screening equipment have built. Up to now permanent assets is up to 3.15 million RMB.In the industrial experiment the scale of production, which is to treat with the raw material of the brown coal, is 30 thousand tons per year. The yield new carbonaceous reductants is up to 6 thousand tons per year, char and coal tar are separately up to 4 thousand tons and 1 thousand tons per year. The sum of invested funds adds up to 4.75 million RMB. the income of goods sold is 8.70 million RMB, within a decade of economic life the tax for country or local is total 7.6298 million RMB. The profit-investment ratio is 25.71%, the profit-tax ratio is 46.31%, the profit ratio of goods sold is 14.62%, the ratio of cost profit margin is 19.85%, the investment recovery period without paying tax is 2.16 years and 3.89 years after paying tax. According to these economic indexes that have been mentioned above, the item's status of economy things will be all right in operation. It will greatly contribute to the development of country.
