For the sake of exploiting fujian Phyllanthus Emblica L. resources, the extraction technology of polysaccharide from Phyllanthus Emblica L. (PePs) and its functional effect of antioxygenation and antitumor was studied according to functional evaluation process of health food.On the basis of single factor experiments, the optimum extraction technology was determined through orthogonal experiments: extracting 4h under the temperature of 100C by use of N AND A.The effect of PePs on carbon tetrachloride intoxicated mice was studied to investigate its antioxidation. Results indicated that PePs obviously reduced LPO (Lipid peroxidation) contents in intoxicated mice liver, enhanced the SOD activity and the GSH contents in the blood(P<0.05). It is proved that PePs has the effect of antioxidation, and thus delaying senescence possibly.Preliminary experiment of antitumor(S180) in vitro showed that PePs can break the cancer cell and make the cell vacuolus and karyopycnosis which indicated that PePs had possibly antineoplastic activity.Model groups(transplanted S180 and H22 model in mice), control groups(CTX and physiological saline) and treated groups(4g/L 3g/L 2g/L 1g/L PePs solution) to abserve the antineoplastic activity and the effect of immune functions noduliferous mice by calculating the lymphocyte convertion rate and phagocytosis index. The results showed that high dose and middle dose can prolong remarkably the survival time of mice planted with S180 fluid tumor(P<0.05); middle dose can prolong remarkably the survival time of mice planted with H22 fluid tumor(P< 0.05); high dose, middle dose and low dose PePs could inhibit the tumor's growth, the inhibition rate was up to 52.13%, 50.08%, 31.33% respectively. The middle dose and low dose PePs have no inhibit effect on immunologic function of mice.
