In this paper, K2FeO4 with high purity was prepared from the alkine hypochlorite oxidation of Fe(NO3)3·9H2O, and studied as the battery positive material. This thesis consists of six parts. The first chapter gave us a brief-introduction about the physical and chemical property of K2FeO4, as well as the current research situation of K2FeO4. Further, it was put forward that this paper covers aspects. In the second chapter, the effect of KMnO4 on K2FeO4 was studied. The composite K2FeO4/KMnO4 electrode was prepared through thoroughly dispersing KMnO4 onto K2FeO4 powder as active material. The morphology and structure of K2FeO4 and K2FeO4/KMnO4 composite were characterized by XRD and SEM techniques. The electrochemical performance of the composite K2FeO4/KMnO4 electrode was studied. In the third chapter, CoTiO3 and SrTiO3 powders were synthesized by sol-gel method and added into K2FeO4 electrodes as modifiers to improve its electrochemical performance.The fourth chapter exhibited the saturated KOH electrolyte solution modified by KI and KIO3 affects on discharge performance of K2FeO4 electrodes. The discharge tests and CV tests were carried out to investigate the electrochemical property of K2FeO4 electrode in these modified KOH electrolyte.In the fifth chapter, the polymer gel PEO-KOH-H2O foil was prepared and used as the electrolyte for K2FeO4 battery. The electrochemical performance of the aqueous K2FeO4 battery and solid-state K2FeO4 battery was compared by the discharge tests and self-discharge tests. Two kinds of modifiers (BaO and SrO) were added into the cathode to improve the discharge performance. In the sixth chapter, the effect of three kinds of carbon materials on the K2FeO4 cathode was studied. Especially, the SWNTs effect on K2FeO4 was studied completely.
