High temperature fume mixed with carbon monoxide and dust of ferric oxide is produced when convertor doing air refining. If this fume was scavenged into the atmosphere directly, the surrounding environment would be badly damaged, so some dust removal procedure must be taken before letting out to prevent the nature from being polluted. Convertor gas contains about 80 to 90 percent carbon monoxide, which is a fuel with high caloric power that can be reclaimed to save energy source and reduce cost . With the increasing of production of steel, reclaiming of convertor gas has been paid much attention all over the world and the reclaiming technology is keeping promoting and improving. The volume of convertor gas that is reclaimed is one of the main index of valuing the performance of convertor and the control system. In recent years, with the development of I&S companys, higher requirement is set forth to air refining and gas reclaiming technology. Basing on the current developing situation of smoke decontaminating and coal gas reclaiming system in the world, this article is about the building of PLC control system of Oxygen Gas Recovery System base on ControlLogix.RSLogix 5000 series PLC with high performance and reliability is used to carry out the data exchange remote control through ControlNet network. In selection of detecting instrument and system equipment, reducing cost is considered to utilize advanced technology with least cost and safty and reliability of them is also the important factor. In designing course of control software, complicated interlocks are taken to manipulate the start and stop action of device and considerate measure is adopted in fault alarm and disposal, which guaranteed the stability and safty of the system. Aiming at the shortage of First Dust System, Secondary Dust System is added to gather the fume overflowing from the convertor, which rised the refine ratio. Due to the difference of First Dust System and Secondary Dust System, transducer and Hydraulic Coupling Governor are used separately to fufil frequency control, which reduced the power consuming of the system. Data exchange between ControlNet network and HMI to monitor the parameters of all the devices fully guaranteed the speediness of transmission of information.In this paper, the designing and building ControlLogix control system are systematically analyzed and studied, through which benefits are achieved both in theory understanding and practice application and further exploration in this field is inspired.
