Continuous extrusion technology has received great srccess. People start to transfer their view to copper process field. Now our country is rebuilding the electrical net of country and city, in dire need of a lot of and high quality outputting and changing establishments, then there is higher request on produce and manufacture of copper strip.TLJ300 continuous extrusion machine which is researched and produced by Dalian Railway Institute is used to produce copper strip. Its technology has basically become mature. But because of copper and its alloy high distortion temperature, big distortion strength, easy to be oxygened when temperature is higher. There are many technical difficulties about plastic forming mechanism, technic parameters and die construct and so on. Great disparity exists between our design and foreign country's in facility life and energy needing. In order to improve design, increase performance, excend the life and boost up cometition ability. It is necessary to improve the design of tool and die, using advanced theoretic analysis and calculate method .Therefore, In this dissertation, the 3-dimensional simulation of copper strip CONFORM deformation process has been done by FEM. Basing on rigid viscoplastic FEM theory and heat transfer theory, the author uses DEFORM software as a CAE tool, building the finite element analysis model of copper strip continuous extrusion deformation. This paper concluds four parts:1. Introduce the theory and application of continuous extrusion method and FEM, expatiate the necessity, feasibility and superiority of using FEM to analyze and compute the copper strip continuous extrusion deformation process.2. Explain the basic theory that will be used in analyzing the continuous extrusion deformation system FEM method.3. Analyze the relation between strength and energy of continuous extrusion process. Deduce the calculate formula of deformation force,ascertain the value of machine torque when steady working..4. Simulate the copper strip continuous extrusion deformation process. Analyze the key technical difficulties during the simulation process. Summarize plastic deformation rules, material flowing law. Receive velocity distribution , temperature distribution, effective stress and strain distribution and load-time curve and so on. Compare different construct If die and extrsion wheel velocity effect on plastic deformation.This paper using DEFORM as FEM software simulate CONFORM process in copper blank first time, all received distribution graphs and parameters change curves show the true facts. These results can become the references of the future design.
