Along with the rapid development of the electric technology, the harm caused by the electromagnetic pollution has been more and more grievous. Electromagnetic pollution can jam the electric equipment, and especially it can hurt people's body. It is conjectured that the electromagnetic pollution will be the primary pollution instead of other pollutions in the future. The electromagnetic pollution is different to other pollutions, it can not be seen, touched, heard, tasted and smelled. So people have not given enough recognition to electromagnetic pollution and its precaution.Hereinafter, list the mostly contents in this paper: The source and harm of electromagnetic pollution are discussed, the research situation of electromagnetic pollution precaution at present is introduced. The application of electromagnetic shield in the electromagnetic pollution precaution is studied. The central content is the principle of electromagnetic shield and the technique of electromagnetic shield to the electronic equipment. Based on the Maxwell equations group and boundary condition, the absorbing and reflecting formula of the monolayer and multilayer absorbing material have been educed, which is very useful for the design of absorbing material. A new application design way of absorbing material is put forward which is proved to be very effective in the actual application. The application of pectinate filter in the electromagnetic pollution precaution is explained. This filter is usually used in the design of some microwave heating equipment. The distributing status of electromagnetic wave in the waveguide is studied at first, the result indicate that the waveguide can be used for a cut-off attenuator to prevent the leak of electromagnetic power. In the end of this paper, the loss of the electromagnetic power caused by the absorbing material smeared on the inside surface of the waveguide is discussed. The testing data showed that the attenuation of the electromagnetic wave is very obvious when the thickness of the absorbing material is thin, so this way can be a new way for the electromagnetic pollution precaution.
