With the energy crisis deepens increasingly, the process integration method becomes a hot topic. As the most practical one of the process integration method, the pinch technology is in larger usage. This report is around how to apply the pinch technology to analyze and reform the heat exchanger network in an actual example. The object of analysis and reconstruction are two sets of equipments which belongs to FuShun Petrochemical Company.The first equipment is used to make use of ethylene which is form catalyzed dry gas to alkyl directly to get B benzene , its scale is3×10~4 t/y . Our target is to decrease the energy consummation and toincrease the product profits by apply the pinch technology. By analyzing heat exchanger network, three sets of reconstruction schemes are designed and identify the most optimal heat exchanger network, heating saving of about 34.4%, cooling saving of about 31.9%, cost saving of about 2393 thousand yuan every year.The second equipment is used to get Methyl Ethyl Ketone (MEK), its scale is 25 kt/y.The pinch technology is not used to analyze this equipment. Air-cooling exchanger in cooling system and deep fat exchanger in heating system can reform by analying this equipment, replacing deep fat by vapor can save operating cost 9370 thousand yuan every year, heatingsaving of 670. 11KW by reforming air-cooling exchanger.
