The paper is on the basis of my supervisor, Professor HuangQingxiang's item that is the Sichuan jail bureau key item. Through site observation analysis in the gateway of the 5112 working faces of Sichuan Wangcang coal mine, summarized the surrounding rock distortion characteristics and the rule of the gateway in high-pitched and critical angle seam. Through the simulation experiment, obtained the characteristic of mining roof surrounding rock to break down in high-pitched and critical angle seam. Through the site observation, the simulation and the numerical value computation, obtained the gateway plastic area in high-pitched and critical angle seam. In the experimental study foundation, proposed "the roof lowering type" movement mechanism in high-pitched and critical angle seam. In "the roof lowering type" movement mechanism foundation, analyzed feasibility of the rock bolting of the gateway in high-pitched and critical angle seam, thereby bringed forward the "R-L-C"countermeasure of rock bolting in high-pitched and critical angle seam. Through the example analysis, has confirmed the research conclusion.
