| The root of Polygonum Multiflorum Thunb (PMT) was first recorded in Scripture of Shennong Herbs. Pharmacological investigations indicated that 2,3,5,4'-tetrahydroxystilbene-2-O-β-D-glucoside (THSG), a typical functional component found in PMT, contributed markedly both to reducing serum lipids and cholesterol and to protecting liver.As a high and new technology, the supersonic technique has been widely used for medical purposes; however, its application in the produce processing has not been fully developed. This paper was to combine the cavitating effect of supersonic with the extracting technology of THSG from PMT, followed by the separating and concentrating of THSG, and then to apply it to the study of functional drink for reducing serum lipids.What were covered in this investigation, by method of single-factor tests and the orthogonal tests, included THSG supersonic extraction, THSG separation, the digestion of Rsapberry and the combination of functional drink.Suggested from experiments, the better extracting technology of THSG was as follows: the PMT particle of 100 mesh size; 70% edible alcohol of extracting solvent; 1:50 of PMT powder to edible alcohol ratio; 7min of extracting time.The better separating condition of THSG turned out to be that: 20ml of sample volume; 70% edible alcohol of separation solvent; 1.0ml/min of solvent moving velocity; 70cm of column length; 20min of absorption time; 800ml of separation solvent volume.The better digestion conditions of Raspberry turned out to be: 65 ℃ of digestion temperature; 1:30 of Raspberry to water ratio; 0.7 g/100ml of adding pectinase; 60min of digestion time. The composition of functional drink was that: 40ml of Raspberry juice; 4g/100ml of sugar; 0.10g/100ml of citric acid; and the concentrations of THSG, Polygonatum polysaccharide and Ginkgo flavonoid were 0.062mg/ml, 1.33mg/ml and 27.81mg/ml, respectively. |
