The Study Of Automatic Tracking System Of Welding Seam Basing On CCD Sensor

Welding is an all-around advanced processing technical methods along with the development of newly close correlation's subject, with the development of much interrelated science and technology, the demand to the welding itself is higher and higher and not only guarantees the body's health of welder not only acquires the stability of weld quality, the mobility of application, the security and the economy of operation. Therefore,automatic and intelligent of welding has become the trend of welding industry.The article studies the debugging of Automatic Tracking System of Welding Seam in order to insure welding quality, and adopts surface array CCD vision sensor that recollect welding seam image in front of point of weld. Through the collecting card, which is a kind of image card directly get picture from CCD into display memory, the result of image processing can obtain the offset value between welding seam and welding torch. At last, passing the control signal of the computer emitting to PLC controller, welding torch is adjusted to align welding seam and attain the aim of high precision welding seam tracking. The several point in this paper are formulated as follows: Firstly, mechanical composition's improvement of welding dolly and modification of image processing arithmetic and of welding dolly's control system. modification were included in betterment of system entire organization Secondly, the system was debugged without the welding arc to accurately achieve automatic tracking system of welding Seam and prepare for causing arc. Thirdly, a several of projects were bring forward when the welding arc was happened, and according to practical condition, modified methods and modification of image processing arithmetic were put forward. Fourthly, employed TIG welding means to simulate the condition of actual welding and aimed at the circumstances of actual welding, modified methods were consecutively carried through and new arithmetic was bring forward, and the result of automatic tracking system of welding seam was analysed by TIG welding means.The accurate tracking system of welding seam could be acquired with the debugging of entire system, Through TIG welding means to simulate the condition of actual welding, the interferential questions such as the splash and the arc light and so on were solved, and because of adding of the accessorial lamp-house, the disadvantage of welding seam's pattern recognition was settled with the strong arc light, and accurate tracking of welding was complicated.
