The state-of-the-art of structure analysis of machinebody of mill macine and the general method of analysis design are introduced in this thesis. In the thesis, the large-scale finite element analysis soft-ANSYS is used to perform contact analysis, modal analysis and optimization of machine body cross-beam and carriage of milling and drilling machine tool for maching large-sized workpiece with overlength plane.Firstly, the structure and stress state of machine body cross-beam and carriage of milling and drilling machine tool for maching large-sized workpiece with overlength plane are introduced, the finite model of cross-beam of machine body and carriage are built using the solid element in ANSYS.In contact analysis, the deformation figure ,stress figure, contact conditionfigure, penetrating condition figure and gap condition figure when carriage is in the middle, the 3/4 side and side of cross-beam of machine body are listed, analysised and compared, in the end, we form a result.In modal analysis, the first-ten-step frequencies ,amplitudes of vibration and vibration modes are listed, then we analysis its dynamic characteristics. Because the work frequency is close to the first step frequency, Wo have to optimize the cross-beam of machine body and carriage to increase the first step frequency and avoide sympathetic vibration.In the optimization analysis, because the number of variables is more than 20, we have to compute the sensitivity of variable to object function, select the design variable according to the sensitivity and optimize the cross-beam of machine body and carriage. In the end, we compare the contact conditon before and after optimization.
