Synthesis And Properties Of Heterocycle Compounds Containing N And S Atoms

Two series of compounds were prepared and their structure were determined by E.A., IR, ~1H NMR and X-ray diffraction analysis.(1) Series of 2,5-piperazinedione: Piperazinedione has a stable six-membered -cyclic structure containing two hydrogen bond donors and acceptors, respectively. While hydrogen bonds are one of the main modes for the interaction between drug and acceptor. So piperazinedione derivatives have been used widely in the pharmaceutical chemistry and many other regions. The development of the new synthetic method for piperazinedione is a significant research subject. Six novel compounds have been synthesized through a new synthetic method, which interests us with numerous excellences, such as less steps, lower price, mild reaction conditions, simple post-treatment and no pollution etc. Three single crystals, 1,4-Bis(4-methoxyphenyl)piperazine-2,5-dione, 1,4-Bis(2-methylphenyl)-2,5-piperazi-nedione and l,4-di(l-naphthyl)-2,5-piperazinedione, suitable for X-ray crystallo-graphic analysis, were prepared successfully. The X-ray crystal structures of all the compounds determined were consistent with the results of IR, E.A. and ~1H NMR studies.(2) Series of 2,5-dimercapto-l,3,4-thiodiazole: Thiodiazole and its derivatives have attracted much attention in the development of the new kind pesticide because they can be used as bactericide, weedicide, insecticide, and regulator of plant growth, etc. 2,5-dimercapto-l,3,4-thiodiazole (DMTD) is an effective stabilizer for emulsion, and the salts of DMTD, as an activating reagent, have been used widely in the production of copper oxide mine by flotation method. In addition, the derivatives of DMTD, as a metal passivator, have also been used the power-transmission lubricator. Six novel 2,5-dimercapto-1,3,4- thiodiazole compounds have been synthesized.
