| This paper briefy introduces the significances and present technical situationa of flue gas desulphurization (FGD) and dedusting of flue gas from middle and small-sized coal-fired boilers, and presents in detail the research results of double function devices with dedust and desulfrize, Vnturi railing scrubbers, and also predicts the technical developing tendencies in this field in the future.The Venturi railing scrubber is a kind of wet equipment with compound mechanisms for coal-fired flue gas scrubbing. The former parts are the new Venturi railing structue. Ventuti railing scubber is consisted of supplying liquid system, Venturi railing and axial demister.The research results in lab showed that their optimum operation parameters are:(1) air velocity in cross-section of axial cyclone: (16- 18)m/s(2) the values PH in the recycling solution: 9-12(3) the concentration of [Na+] in the recycling solution: (0.1~0.3)mol/l(4) the ratio of liquid to gas: (0.3-0.8)l/m3 or soThe kind of scrubber has higher dedusting and desufurizing efficiencies. The dedusting efficiencies of the kind of scrubber above mentioned are(90~95)%, and the SO2 removal ratios for flue gas are about 90% at 1200 ppm of SO2 concentration, the pressure drops of both scrubbers are only 1078Pa(110mmH2O).The resrarch results showed that the scubber can make flue gas emission concentrations conform to state emission standards of dust and SO2.Compared with other Scrubbers at home and abroad, the advantages of thekind of scrubber are smaller in size, higher in removal efficiencies of dedusting and desulphurizing, and they are good equipment for flue gas desulfurization and dedusting, Because the kind of scrubber can be combined and arranged rasily, they may be applied to different flue gas rates. Therefore, the kind of scrubber is not only suitable for middle and small-sized boilers but also other industrial furnaces or coal-fired power station boilers. It's applied prospects are very broad.
