With the development of the productivity of tungsten filament, the mode of giving material by hand adopted by Tungsten pole production through swaging can't meet the demand of the society more and more, for its bad working environment and unstable product quality. Group of tungsten industry of Amoy, the largest tungsten production enterprise in the world, determined to carry on an automatic transformation to its tungsten pole swaging process production line. According to the theory of swaging process, robot and mechanism existed, the process of swaging and its automation realization pattern are seriously investigated, and an implementing scheme of swaging process using pneumatically actuated manipulator substituted for hand is put out,including roboticized system of such working step as baiting,heating,rotary swaging,turnaround of tungsten pole,reheating,rotary swaging,shifting out etc,and four subsystem such as manipulator,carrier rod mechanism,turnaround mechanism and transfer mechanism is designed according to this scheme. feasibility and reliability of the manipulator is demonstrated through statics and kinetics analysis and three-dimension modeling,emulation and optimization technology in this paper, trying to solve the automation problem of Tungsten pole swaging process.This scheme is accepted by Amoy Honglu Tungsten-Molybdenum Industry Co.,Ltd, filiale of Group of tungsten industry of Amoy. industrial test is set out to perform.
