The experimental results showed that bipolar three-dimensional electrode process was efficient in CODcr reductions. Considering the technical and economical feasibilities, the two structure, fixed bed and fluidized bed, were selected as experimental set-up. And graphite electrode and pontil electrode were used in the experiment. The efficiency of removing CODcr was mainly studied. In the experiment, various influencing factors such as cell voltage, react time, quantities of liquid catalyst, pH, quantities of gas and quantities of activated carbon were examined, and the technological parameters were obtained. The results were shown as follows:A-A/O process is firstly considered in coking wastewater treatmnet which has a better effects on the wastewater containing high concentration of NH3-N. But the removal efficiency of CODcr was low.It is practicable to treat coke-plant wastewater by bipolar three-dimensional electrode process. By controling appropriate factors, a higher removal efficiency of CODcr can be obtained with low cost. After treated by the bipolar three-dimensional electrode process and A-A/O process, the quality of cleaned water can attain the national discharge standard of grade one.
