3D-braided carbon fiber reinforced epoxy composites had been prepared for bone fracture fixation by RTM process. Mechanical properties such as bend, shear, impact and tensile properties of C3D/EP composites were investigated. Complex figured biomaterials-acus in the marrow and vertebra were made. RTM's technological parameters were optimized.Cytotoxicity testing by direct cell contact method was carried on several resin matrix composites. Cytotoxicity was assessed by direct cell contact test 3T3 cell SEM morphology after contact with several resin matrix composites. Hemocompatibility were investigated by FHb and Hp of human body blood, On such foundation, implant tests were done after through implanting C3D/EP acus in the marrow and vertebra in goats. The results of the present study show that C3D/EP composites on direct contact did not induce any cytotoxic effects on 3T3 cell morphology, the FHb and Hp of human body blood after influenced by C3D/EP composites were equal in the normal value scope. No inflammatory reaction was found in goats. Bone tissue was combined with the composite closely and grew well.C3D/EP composites show better mechanical properties in contrast to traditional bone fracture fixation materials and have good biocompatibility. It is a kind of promising material for bone internal fixation.
