| Electrolytic In-process Dressing (ELID) grinding technique is a kind of composite precision machining technique that combines the dressing of grinding wheels with the grinding process. ELID system is composed of machine tool, DC pulse power, cathode, grinding fluid, grinding wheel. With amount of experiment, DC pulse power is thought to fit the ELID technology best. In this paper DC pulse power is developed and designed with modern power electronic technology and control theory. The main contents of this paper are as follows:Three-phase full controlled bridge rectifier is designed with the second order engineering design method of control systems. With this method the control system is optimized.Design DC pulse power with Pulse Width Modulation technique (PWM). With PWM the range and frequency of output voltage is adjusted continuously.With MATLAB, DC pulse power is simulated, the result of design is better.Experiment of grinding proves that DC pulse power is effective to precise and ultraprecise machining of hard and brittle material. |
