Interdigitated electrodes piezoelectric fiber composites (IDEPFCs) could be widely applied in smart materials and structures, since they have more toughness, performances and orthotropy. The Finite Element Method (FEM) has been widely applied to engineering structures design and mechanics analysis. In the paper, the FEM is adopted to analyze some factors which affects interdigitated electrodes piezoelectric ceramics wafer and IDEPFCs performances. The main content are following: 1. Give a brief introduction of the FEM and the FEM software ANSYS applications in PCM analysis. And presents elastic matrix and coordinates transform. Some commonly process and attentions in applying the FEM software ANSYS to PCM analysis are presented too. A new method how to get the strain is mentioned. 2. Analyzed the interdigitated electrodes and general electrodes wafer performances under the affection of electrode spacing, wafer thickness and electrode width by FEM. 3. Analyzed the IDEPFCs performances under the affection of fiber cross dimensions, the distance between fiber and electrode, fiber spacing, electrode width and electrode spacing by FEM. 4. Analyzed the IDEPFCs performances under the affection of piezoceramics and polymer's material characteristic by FEM.
