| With the rapid development of real estate and the reform of house policy, the indoor air pollution due to the house decoration is growing important. As the result, the investigation and evaluation of indoor air quality must be strengthened, in the other hand, the general characterization and the influential factor of indoor air pollution should be studied for the controlling of the pollution. In this paper, basing on the investigation on the condition of house decoration and indoor air pollution in city dwelling houses in Wuhan, we concluded the general characterization of indoor air pollution in Wuhan . It is listed as following: The indoor formaldehyde concentration exceeds the requirements of standard among 80 percent of the newly decorated houses. The benzol concentration of some exceeds the requirements of standard. Both the ammonia concentration and the radon concentration reach the requirements of standard. The results show that the formaldehyde is the main indoor pollutant of the newly decorated houses in Wuhan.By monitoring the indoor formaldehyde concentration during the house decoration, we conclude that the source of the formaldehyde, which has the biggest effect on indoor air quality mainly, comes from the wood-based board. The results indicate that the speed of formaldehyde releasing is quick at the beginning, then slows down with the time lapse and reaches a stable value gradually. The changing trend of indoor formaldehyde concentration within a day or within a year is also investigated. Basing the trend, the moment of the highest and average formaldehyde concentration within a day is decided, and the result is help for us to choose the appropriate time to measure the formaldehyde concentration precisely. Through analysis the measuring results, we found the average concentration of indoor formaldehyde in summer is higher than other three seasons. In fact, the average concentration of formaldehyde in summer is higher 9 times than that in winter. The key factor affecting the formaldehyde releasing is temperature; the average concentration varying ratio is 5%~10% per centigrade. It is suggested that the appropriate time for house decoration is in summer because high temperatureis helpful to the formaldehyde releasing and the safe time to move in is 4~5 months after house decoration.On the basis of analyzing characterization of different evaluation methods on indoor air quality, we proposed the grey related analysis is beneficent to the indoor air quality evaluation in view of this situation that subjective evaluation is not convenient to be used. With the aims of reflecting human's sense to pollutant's concentration change, we also introduce a means to deal with the figure following the method that dealing with the noise, so as to improve the grey evaluation method. This method is proved to be convenient and reliable. At last, we summarize all the measures to control indoor air pollution from pollutant resource control, ventilate control and purify. We believe that assuring an indoor air quality is a complicated society problem, and it needs all the society to pay close attention to. |
