| The market competition is very fierce all over the word. It challenges the die and mould manufacturing and brings the chances to it. As soul of manufacturing, modern design theory of die and mould is used to promote the products' ability of competing. The researchers have being studied it for a long time and progress has been achieve. Brilliant achievements of research on math, computer science, information science and network technique are gained. Modern design theory of die and mould will obtain great profits from combining these progresses.This dissertation is divided into four main parts. First, a summary of die role and position in the national economy is presented. This meanings of die and mould development techniques are pointed out. In addition, molding tool industry present conditions are analyzed and its problems are pointed out. Concurrent engineering theories and methods are employed to molding tool development in this dissertation; mode and techniques of molding tool CE are presented.Secondly, three relations, (uncoupled relation, coupled relation and decoupled relation) between the activities during the concurrent process of die and mould development are analyzed. Based on the design structure matrix and graph theory, an algorithm of recognizing the coupling activities is put forward. The levels of all activities during the concurrent process of product development are partitioned. After optimizing product development process, a structured model is established in order to shorten development time and to improve product quality. Subsequently, due to new characterizations and requirements of CE, a new feasible method for planning concurrent activities in of die and mould development is proposed. This method considers the factors (resources, information and time distribution) for successful and effective completion of development process. An example is given to show the applicability of the algorithm.Thirdly, engineering test is described. As an object for the application, the development process of aluminum profile extrusion mold is analyzed in detail, and is reorganized; concurrent activities are planed. The result of the test proves the validity of the methods.At last, the conclusions of whole thesis are summed up in the end of this dissertation, and the future research is proposed. |
