There were mass contaminants in the glycine wastewater. The water will damage the environment seriously without treatment. Multieffect evaporation was firstly used to treat the wastewater. The process and experimental study on synthesis treatment were based on manufacture of glycine in Hebei Donghua chemical group . The synthesis treatment project that ammonium chloride was reclaimed at first and then condensate was disposed was determined. Both jet pump and three effects vacuum evaporation were used in the technology process. The problems such as great consumption of resource and prominent corruption of equipment in the normal evaporation process of ammonium chloride reclaim were conquered by using the new process. There were still ammonia, methanol, formaldehyde and urotropin in the condensate. Removing these contaminants thoroughly was the emphases and difficulty of the treatment of glycine wastewater. The process of blowing for the first time-catalyzed oxidation-blowing for the second time was used to treat the condensate by comparison of different measures. Ammonia and methanol could be removed through blowing for the first time. The optimal experiment conditions of blowing for the first time were:pH was 9.4 around, temperature was 333K around, Vg:VL was 3200. Formaldehyde, methanol and urotropin could be removed through catalyzed oxidation. In the first half an hour urotropin could be decomposed into ammonia and formaldehyde without the addition of H2O2. After that H2O2 was thrown into the wastewater in batches to decompose formaldehyde andmethanol. The optimal experiment conditions of catalyzed oxidation were ".temperature was 358K, H2O2:CH2O=67, H2O2: Fe2+=4, pH was 2.5; The residual ammonia could be removed through blowing for the second time. The optimal experiment conditions of blowing for the second time were:pH was 10.45 around, temperature was 333K around, Vg:VL was 525.The concentration of several contaminants in glycine wastewater reached the standard of our country through the process of ammonium chloride reclaim-condensate disposal. The concentration of contaminants in final water were:ammonia was below 20mg/L, COD was below 500mg/L, formaldehyde was below 5mg/L, pH was below 9.
