Studies On The Evaluation Of Present Situation And The Control Method For Desert Land In The North Plateau Of Hebci Province

In the north plateau of Hebei province, the desertification is a degeneration process of land which caused by many factors reacting on each other such as geology factor, weather background, soil condition and human activity and so on. This paper uses a quantify evaluation index system of many factors to evaluate the sandy land of Guyuan county. The end of desert degree is come to medium. According to the message which comes from the remote sensing translating and analysis, we draw a conclusion that the trend of desert soil in the north plateau of Hebei is continue to be developing in the recent years. Wind erosion is the most widespread type in the whole area. On the sloping cultivated land more than 150 of the southeast margin mountains, water erosion is serious. We must return cultivated land to woodland and grassland. At the low-lying even station of the western region plateau, the desert type is mainly salt erosion. Around the present situation of desertification in research area, a control method is put forward, that is establishing forest system along with the side and follows the dam, improving the traditional agriculture farming measure in the firmness farmland and planting the artificial grassland in the deteriorate grassland and wasteland.
