Laser beam welding (LBW) is a efficient and fine welding methodology used high power density of laser beam, It has been increasingly utilized in industrial manufacturing because of the characteristic of laser beam is high power density, untouched manufacturing, greater processing velocity and automation easily. It's one important application of the field of laser manufacturing.laser beam welding has been increasingly utilized with respect to traditional welding methodologies due to lower dimension and shape distorsion of pieces, high power density, deep penetration, greater precision, stronger adaptive to use and control. Laser deep penetration welding use sufficiently higher power density (greater than 106W/cm2) to welding, undoubtly, it's the best choice for many difficult to melting and welding materials.Laser beam welding is a very complicated process, so it's difficult and impossible to reveal this process perfectly. But for industrial application, it's enough because the quality of welding pieces is better than matrix. This paper numerical simulation the distribution of temperature field that is very difficult to precise test in experience of laser beam welding by research of some alloy steel, carbon structural steel , carbon tool steel and cast iron, analyze the crystallography of welding seam, the defect, the influence of other alloy elements and the micrograph of welding joint simply.
