As the main energy-consuming equipment in metallurgy enterprise, the strategy of automatic control of heating furnace is one of the most important research topics in the field of related process control. How to design an excellent automatic control system that can not only ensure the heating quality, but also economize energy consume, ensure good burning quality, prolong the life of the equipments and reduce the pollution of the environment, is a main problem waiting to be solved.Based on the design of automatic control system of Continuous Heating Furnace of Shanghai Third Steel Company. Above all, the development status of continuous heating furnace computer control system and the design requirements of functions of the heating furnace are introduced summarily. Then, on the base of analysis of the system control requirements, the main tasks and functions of the control system are brought forward. And then, the time-varied and disturbed casual process with nonlinear parameter is studied in this thesis. The feasibility of combination of neural network and PID control is discussed. The theory of compound PID control based on neural network is put forward. Comparison between the compound control and the PID control is made in simulation. It is showed that satisfied control performance, strong robustness and better disturbance-rejection are obtained by using the arithmetic put forward in this thesis. In the last, the structure of DCS control system, the software of Genesis32 and the product of T103 controller, and the program of the controllers are introduced.
