As the main process equipment in metallurgy enterprise, the strategy of automatic control of reheating furnace is one of the most important research topics in the field of related process control. How to design an excellent automatic control system, which can not only ensure the heating quality, but also economize energy consume, ensure good burning quality, prolong the life of the equipments, are the main problems waiting to be solved.Based on the design of automatic control system of walking beam reheating furnace of Quanxin Steel Plant, this thesis firstly introduces the craftwork of walking beam reheating furnace and the control requests of computer-aided control system, then on the base of analysis of the system control requires, the functions and traits of the hardware and software applied in the system are introduced, and the realization of the control system is introduced in detail with emphasis on the HMI (Human Machine Interface) functions and control programs. Secondly, the actual control system strategies are introduced in detail. The application results show that the strategies may increase control accuracy of reheating furnace and obtain the billet temperature that start-rolling requires as well as ensure economical combustion and safety operation.On the base of realizing auto control of reheating furnace, the optimized decision making of heat supply during the period of rolling delay is deeply studied in the thesis, The approach mentioned in the thesis spurns the traditional mathematical model, for the accurate mathematical model is difficult for us to achieve in the complex and uncertain case of rolling delay. The process of rolling delay is analyzed and the principle of uniform reduction is presented on the effect of heating schedule on discharging temperature. In view of the uncertainty of rolling delay time, the method of multi-objective gray state decision making is applied. For different delay time, the optimal strategies have been obtained by using the method of multi-target gray state decision.
