With the development of mechanization of coal exploiting and reducing of high quality coal, the heavy medium coal separation is playing more and more role in coal preparation technology, resulting from its high degree separation accuracy, easy-operation, wide density regulating rang and high efficiency and so on. But, too much fine coal has a bad influence not only to performance of heavy-medium cyclone but also to coal slurry treatment system, even to the whole production system. Centrifugal fine-coal remover, which is applied firstly to coal separation technology in China, can remover part of fine coal from raw coal and would improve to development of coal separation technology.However, the performance of fine-coal remover is not always good in its application because of lack of kownlege about it, especially about the relationships between operating parameters and its separation efficiency. Basing the gas-solid two phrase flow theory, this paper begins with structure of centrifugal fine-coal remover and divides the whole separation process into several parts. Then separation mechanisms and particle movement of each process are analyzed. Moreover, the formulas of separation efficiency and structure parameters that influent on its performance are given. Basing on the equipment of the spot, comparing test and orthogonal test are finished. Using MATLAB software to deal and analyze the experimental data, the mathematic models which describe the relationships between operating parameters and separation efficiency of KS5.7 centrifugal fine-coal remover are established and the optimum operating parameters are gotten at the same time.Through analyzing and investigating application of centrifugal fine-coal remover in coal separation plant, this paper would benefit to process-control, product-prediction and its further application and exploitation in coal separation technology.
