In recent years, with the development of the research on the application of generating high concentration ozone by means of DBD, people concern more about the theoretical discussion of strong ionization discharge of dielectric barrier, the structure optimization of the discharge device and its design parameters. The structure optimization, the experimental studies of ozone generating equipment of high concentration, as well as the theoretical discussion of strong ionization discharge of dielectric barrier are done in this paper. This thesis is following the projects as follows: the key and General projects of National Natural Science Foundation of China, the "Studies on methods and applications of gas ionization with strong electric field at high pressure" (No. 60031001) and the "Studies on gas molecule ionization by ultra-strong electric field and its applications" (No.69871002).The methods of strong ionization discharge of dielectric barrier and its plasma reaction process of ozone generation are discussed in this paper. The Plasma chemical reaction process of generating ozone are controlled by the parameters of dielectric barrier discharge (E/n, Te). Ozone concentration and produce efficiency raised largely. It is more potential ozone generating technology for extensive use in the future.In this paper, quartz glass, borosilicate glass and Al2O3 porcelain are respectively regarded as dielectric medium of ozone generators .Many experiments of generating ozone are carried out by them. And many influencing rules of the parameters ,such as exciting voltage of electric field in addition, frequency, gas pressure, dielectric medium thickness, discharging gap, cooling water temperature, gas flow, discharging power density, energy density and electric wastage rate etc, on the concentration of generating ozone are confirmed by a lot of experimental data. The optimized design of ozone generator is also done. The reduced field, as a main parameter, is increased and further done the ozone concentration with the methods as follows: the dielectric layers of high dielectric constant and high resistivity, the decrease of discharge gap and the cooling electrodes.Strong ionization discharge in discharge gap is gained with the reduced field (E/n) of 300Td, the average electron energy of 10 eV and the electron density of 1016/cm3.The ozone generator of miniaturization and modularization is developed with the ozone concentration of 137g/Nm3 and the producing efficiency of 345g/kWh for ozone device.
