This dissertation includes four parts. The first chapter is about the applications of common room temperature ionic liquids in chemistry in recent years. The second one develops my research in the common ionic liquids. And the third is about the advance of the functional ionic liquids and diacetoxyiodobenzene as an oxidant in organic chemistry. The last one describes the selective bromination reaction of unsaturated organic compounds with an ion-supported hypervalent iodine reagent.In chapter one: the properties, compositions, preparations and applications of the ionic liquids in organic synthesis s were reviewed.In chapter two:Firstly, we studied the method for the preparation of ureas from isocyanates and amines in room temperature ionic liquids. The ionic liquid [emim]+[BF4]- gave significant reaction rate and good yields .The products were readily separated from the ionic liquids via extraction. The reactions with recycled ionic solvent were not affected by the recycling times.Then, Henry reaction catalyzed by DBU to achieve (3 -nitro alcohol was reported. In this way, the Henry reaction was accelerated and smaller amount of nitroalkanes was used. Moreover, it can suppress some side reactions efficiently.In chapter three: we summarized the recent reports about preparations and applications of the task-specific ionic liquids and diacetoxyiodobenzene reagent.In chapter four: selective bromination of the unsaturated organic compounds with the ion-supported hypervalent iodine reagent l-(4-diacetoxyiodobenzyl)-3-methyl imidazolium tetrafluoroborate [dibmim]+ [BF4]- in ionic liquids was described. The oxidant system was proved to be excellent for high anti stereoselectivity and high chemoselectivity. Moreover, it was easy to handle.
