In recent years, mould industry makes rapid progress and plays an important role in national economy development. However, the property of plastic material itself and the complexity of processing conditions make the process of the injection molding quite complicated. For a long time, the control of process of plastic injection molding and mold design and manufacture mainly depend on experience of designer and technique of the technologist. The rationality of design and the quality of product will be seen after mold test. It brings about long design cycle and high manufacture cost. This article introduces particularly the defects of product in the processing of plastic injection and the reasons of causing those problems. Meanwhile, presenting the ways to solve those defects. By establishing the physical and mathematical model of injection molding process and adopting effective numerical algorithm, optimizing numerically simulated algorithm on the process of plastic injection. The mean which optimizing the placement of plastic mold gate is discussed in the article, Aiming at that melt can reach the extremities of the cavity at the same time and reduce the warpage of the parts. Moreover, the CAE techniques of plastic mold are discussed in this article and introduced the function of the stimulated MPI(MoldFlow Plastic Insight) software. The emphases is on the introduction of process of MPI analysis and the skill of setting all kinds of technical parameters, simulating and analyzing the plastic flow, forecasting the possible defects of plastic part in the process of injection. Finally the best project is detained by comparing various ways. Introducing the CAE can reduce the times of molding test and molding mend, shorten the circle of the design and manufacture of mold, and lessen the cost of production.
