Nanosize Fe3+-doped TiO2 particles were prepared by sol-gel method. The influences of various sol-gel conditions including Fe3+ % and pH were investigated. The photocatalytic activity of the catalysts was tested with Rhodamine B as the objective decomposition substance. The results show that the Fe -doped TiO2 has a higher photocatalytic activity than TiO2. The best catalytic activity was observed in TiO2 with 0.05% doped Fe3+ when pH is 5.0.In this paper UV-Vis and LC-MS observation and techniques were used to investigate the photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B on Fe3+-doped TiO2 particles. Experiment results show that there are different mechanisms of the photocatalytic degradation of Rhodamine B with different pH in witch the Fe3+-doped TiO2 particles were prepared by a sol-gel method.
