In recent years, quantum dots (QDs) have been investigated for their uses as biological fluorescent probes in place of organic dyes because of their better spectral feature and inherent functional advantages. Quantum dots have exhibited significant advantages over traditional fluorophores as fluorescent probes in biological staining and diagnostic.QDs have a wide absorb spectrum, and narrow symmetrical emission spectrum, different color of QDs can be obtained by adjusting the dimension and composition of it. It also shows good characteristics, such as the higher intensity of fluorescence and mere stability, etc., overcoming a great deal of weak points of the traditional organic fluorescence dyestuffs, it is hopeful to become its substituent. People have got successful exploration and tried in cell image formation, the immunoassays, DNA hybridization, biology sensor, etc. The bio-conjugation of QDs and bio-moleculer is involved and used in many study works, it is usually the foundation for further investigation. It is important to carry on overall research about the modification of QDs by biomoleculers, so that this new-type fluorescence material could be utilized more effectively. Just for this purpose, the research of QDs-BSA conjugates was made in this work. The condition for biological molecule modifying QDs was studied and optimized systematically, and it was found that the fluorescence intensity get strengthen obviously after BSA is decorated on QDs.At present, UV-VIS spectrophotometer, fluorescence spectrophotometer, and electrophoresis were used to detect the QDs-biomoleculer bioconjugations. But the defects of these methods lie in being unable to get the simple component part of the reaction. The results could also be influenced by other component. To avoid this influence, high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was used to separate and detect the QDs-biomoleculer bioconjugations. Compared with the published characterization and separation method, HPLC is more efficient, fast, accurate, and...
