This paper analysed the quality of the leachate taken from Laohuchong landfill in Shenyang. On the basis of the results, physical-chemical treatment is applied as the pre-treatment.It is detected from the treatment that leachate can degradate naturally with a high speed. And as a result of this, the relative removal rate of organic matter declined sharply. At the same time, after added deodorants, leachate is non-degradable under natural placement, and it is more difficult to dispose the organic matter. Influence of deodorant on leachate quality and coagulation-flocculation agents needs further research.Effect of each test condition on organic matter removal rate has been examined. The results show that in coagulation-flocculation agreeable conditions are coagulation PAC, stirring rate 150rpm, flocculation PAM, doses 700mg/L, 3mg/L ,respectively, pH 6.0, precipitation time 20min; in treatment by flotation, flotation agent oxygenized paraffin soap, dose 333mg/L, flotation time 10min; in treatment by ultrasonic, ultrasonic power 1.25w/mL, inception temperature 60℃ , radiated time 40min. According to the experimental results above, coagulation-flocculation-ultrasonic is proposed as the associated process which has such advantages as simplicity in operation, short process time, good effect, etc. After the treatment, the value of BOD5/COD is 0.50, the leachate's quality of biodegradability is improved.
