Paper is the necessaries in people's production and life, it is earnestly long for seeking new papermaking raw materials that with low price and can instead of some plant fiber, and can improve the paper performance and also will not pollute the circumstance.Firstly, the articles mainly study the performance of the mineral composition fiber, and comparison of the mineral composition fiber and the plant fiber. Secondly, study the factors that affect the operating performance of the mineral composition fiber, and the effect to the paper performance when add the mineral composition fiber in the laboratory. Finally, to do trials during the production of the antiseize base paper and gold stripe kraft paper, so as to verify the he factors that affect the operating performance of the mineral composition fiber, and the effect to the paper performance when add the mineral composition fiber.The mineral composition fiber is a active papermaking new material which use the modern technology (fibrosis and surface recombination) to the fibroid minerals (wollastonite in powder), it is between the plant fiber and traditional filler, its surface looks like a needle, different from the traditional filler such as talcum powder, calcium phosphate and kaolinie clay which are small sheeted, round and global. It is estimated by the foreign expert that in the future 40% of the wollastonite will be used in papermaking industry.To add mineral composition fiber during the papermaking, the tensile strength of the paper will lower, has no effect to the paper sizing degree, and also has small effect to the paper brightness. The smoothness of the both sides of the paper will increase, the chroma of the both sides of the antiseize base paper improved, the chromatism of the both sides reduced, and the colour fastness promoted distinctly. The color of the white water will become light greatly, the waste strength, SS and COD will become greatly lower, it can low down the pollution load of the waster water, and benefit to the circumstance protection.During the paper production, to add suitable quantity of retention aid to improve the retention rate, to add appropriate quantity of dispersant is benefit to improve the paper formation, meanwhile can improve the paper tensile strength, but if the quantity of the dispersant goes beyond the limit, the paper tensile strength will no longer has any change. To add the mineral composition fiber during the acid papermaking production, it is better to control the PH number of the wire pulp at 4.7~5.1, add appropriate defoamer to the white water, so as to eliminate the negative affect to the finished paper that caused by the foam.In order to get the best disperse effect of the mineral composition fiber, firstly should put the mineral composition fiber into the high shear water, then stirring continuously, finally, add appropriate dispersant to the suspended liquid of pulp, and stirring again, so as to maintain the best suspended state of the mineral composition fiber, and do not have sedimentation. Do not use cleaner to the mineral composition fiber, so as to improve the retention rate of the mineral composition fiber, to reduce the waste of the mineral composition fiber.The mineral composition fiber can be used to replace some wooden pulp to make the antiseize base paper and gold stripe kraft paper, so as to reduce the production cost. It is feasible in the technology and reasonable in the economy to take the mineral composition fiber as papermaking filler.
