In this paper, the photocatalytic degradation of active dark blue by Polyoxometalates(POMs), Na5(6)[XZr(Ti)W11O39] · nH2O (X=Cr,Mn,Fe, Co, Ni,Cu,Zn) and Na13[Ln (Zr(Ti)W11O39) 2] ·nH2O (Ln = La,Ce) were studied. The complex filmes (ZrWLn / PVA,ZrWX / PVA,TiWX / PVA and TiWLn / PVA) were prepared by chemical self-assembled method and they were characterized by IR spectroscopy. The catalysis of POMs/PVA complex films and POMs were studied, and it showed that the structure of supported POMs was the same with unsupported POMs.The results shows that the photocatalytic decolorizing efficiency was affected by the amount of POMs , initial pH and concentration of active dark blue. The photocatalytic decolorition of the dye by POMs is abided by one-order photodisintegration kinetics. The photocatalytic reactivity of POMs /PVA complex filmes was better than POMs and the decolorizing efficiency of the dye by complex films was 100% when it was illuminated more than five hours. The photocatalytic decolorizing efficiency of reactive dark blue was affected by some factors, such as dry temperature and time of films, irradiation time and light source and etc.
