Study Of Cement Production Based On Calcium Carbide Sludge

The main chemical composition of the carbide calcium sludge is the calcium hydrate, occupied about 70%.So the calcium hydrate can replace the limestone to produce cement.As the calcium hydroxide is easier to decompose than calcium carbonate ,so after mixing with the carbide calcium sludge, the strenth and yield of cement will be improved ,and the heat-energy consuming will be reduced.By the research of cement production based on the calcium carbide to sludge. this paper concludes the following points: the dreg of the calcium carbide sludge can replace the limestone to produce high grade cement .The calcine energy cinsumming is about 3135KJ/Kg . The more the calcium carbide sludge is mixed , the better the calcinations would be, the higher the three rates would be,and the better the cement will be. By utilization of the available equipments and adoption of the technigue,proposed in this paper, the calcium carbide sludge with loam,coal ash,and coal was mixed together according to a certain proportion. The water contains of the above mixture should be controlled in 50-55%.The step water addition in kiln furnace can be omitted.By adding this kind of mixture into the twin agitators,and mixing some raw materials were agglomerated first and then calcined in kiln furnace to get grog cement . The expence experiment has clearly shown that this technigue is successful.The quality of the black raw materials globe is good, calcination operation is easy to control,the grog guality is high,various technology targets whelly achieve the demand.This new technology has the obvious effect in energy saving.It mainly lies in the high content of CaO, above 65%,improving the easy calcinations of raw materials, the decomposition temperature lowering compared with CaCO3 served as raw material .Usage only of the limestone reduced ,The new technology can not save CaCO3 ,but can solves the problem caused by the calcium carbide sludge.
