Study On Separating Behavior Of High Efficiency Inclined Separator For Free-water

By investigating internal and external separating technique and equipment, advantage anddisadvantage were compared in existing separators. Then inclined oil-water separator for highwater percentage was developed.On the base of Navier-Stroke equation, the forces acting on droplet were studied. According to velocity profile of oil layer and water andforces acting on drop and motion of drop, coalescence time model of a drop on tricking filmlayer was founded. Coalescence time is computed. By studying effecting factors, it concludedthat some inclination angles increased influx of tricking film by shortening coalescence time andreducing surfactant effect on coalescence. So designed influx of separator increased .Thehandling capacity of separator increased. With increasing of handling capacity, the problem thatseparator loading was too much was resolved.Finally, merit of inclined separator was concluded, according to the characteristic.
