The amorphous alloy is a kind of new material with short-range ordering while long-rangedisordering structure. Its unique structural character results in the excellent catalytic properties,such as the high catalytic activity and selectivity, the high resistance to the sulfur poison,especially the less environmental pollution occurred during the catalyst preparation, which isaccord with the development trend of current chemical engineering.Therefore, the amorphousalloys have been more concerned gradually.In this paper we have synthesized surpported Catalyst NiB/γ-Al2O3 of Amorphous alloyby chemical reduction successfully. The catalyst has the same Surface area with generalsupported catalysts. Gas-phase hydrogenation of benzene was selected as probe reaction to studyon the preparation and the catalytic activity of the supported amorphous alloy catalyst.During the experiment the structure,components and surface area etal have been analyzedby XRD,Thermal analysis.We find the surpported Catalyst NiB/γ-Al2O3 of Amorphous alloy begin to be crystal stepby step during 240℃~460℃ by TG-DTA curve.Compared with not surported one ,the earliestcrystal temperature increases 140℃ ,showing better heat stability. XRD token result proved theobvious amorphous structure;surface area of the catalyst is 196m2/g more.when the activated temperature is 220℃, activated time is 30 minutes, Ni:B (mol)=1:3.4,nickel content is 5% ,the catalyst has the best catalysis by hydrogenation of benzene reactionanalyzing. In condition of the space velocity is 1.0 h-1,reaction pressure is 1.2 Mpa, hydrogenand benzene mole ratio is 5,reaction temperature is higher than 150℃,the translation ratio andselectivity of reaction are all 100%, far better than Raney Ni.it has been proved the activestability of NiB/γ-Al2O3 catalyst of amorphous alloy is excellent by active stability experiment.itcould be applicated in chemical engineering in the future.
