With the rapid progress of industry and development of society, the pollution of water is getting more serious than ever and it becomes the first environmental problem. The result of that is the water people can drink is reducing day by day. The water pollution threatens to our survival, health, economy and development.One important reason of deterioration of our water quality is the lack of monitoring and lag of technology. Our nation attaches importance to the environmental protection, and increases the input to the monitoring management of sewage disposed control system while our government energetically punishes the pollution sources.As the technology of transition from 2G to 3G, GPRS becomes popular in industrial automatic domain. This text according to GPRS basic theories, on the basis of the foundation of domestic existing technology, making use of the technique of computer control, GPRS, etc. puts forward to the project of system including the remote monitoring, the information management and the network techniques, emphatically discuss GPRS, GPRS DTU and remote monitoring center for the system structure and function designs. Many sewage disposed projects don't need people to keep watch the equipments and don't fit to build wire communication network. Many wireless communications such as broadcasting station not only need huge capital to buy equipments but also suit the mobile needs. So we need high technology to design the remote monitoring system in order to actualize the automatic monitoring of sewage points.According to the above-mentioned theories and the concrete characteristics of the sewage disposed system and the request of remote monitoring system, this paper mainly carries on the following work: Chapter 1 mainly introduces the background of the research and the present technical condition of remote monitoring system, and then compares the advantages and disadvantages of these technologies. Chapter 2 carries on the introduction to the basic theories of GPRS in detailed. Chapter 3 discusses the total design of remote monitoring system of sewage disposed, and analyses the mode of the network. Chapter 4 researches the basic elements of GPRS DTU, including the design of hardware and software. Chapter 5 carries on the research to the remote monitoring of the function of the center design. As the last part, Chapter 6 introduces the summary to the work which has been done and puts forward to several kinds conception to the further perfect system.
