PTFE is one of the prior research of the pre-heated polymer, which has the excellent property of chemical-stability and anti-high and low temperature(the usage range is -200~260℃),anti-radiating, inter-electricity and the lower friction modulus and so on.It is well-known as the "the king of plastics".But due to the molecule structure and its bell-shape crystal is easy to be peeled off by the slice, PTFE puts up the worse mechanics performance,worse anti-wearing,the higher of the line expand modulus and bear the weight of big distortion and so on, which restrict its application.So altering quality of PTFE becomes a abroad research. But the usage of glass microballoons in altered quality of PTFE little appears in the literature report.This article used glass microballoons as the filler,the way to make powder to metallurgy, adopting the mould-sinter molding technology in making the composite.We do the research on altered quality of the composite physics performance and discuss the role mechanism of glass beads, providing the theory of glass bead in altering quality of PTFE composite.The compress intensity, hardness, impact intensity, friction and abrasion intensity are studied as the focus. we gaine the curves of the composite in the compress intensity, hardness, impact intensity, friction and wear properties by analyzing the datum, and The microstrctures and worn surfaces on the surface of the composite are then studied by using a scanning electron microscope(SEM), and studying the mechanism of abrasion,while influence of the coefficient of friction from the different temperature is studied.The result indicates: when a certain amount glass microballoons were added, the compress intensity, hardness, anti —abrade performance and friction modulus of composite material have been increased, but at the same time its impact capability has beendebased. The transition of mainly abrasion mechanism was from adhesive abrasion to particles abrasion in wearing. When the glass microballoons are disposed by the coupling agent KH-550,the composite performances are changed. Beingcompared with not treated glass microballoons, the hardness is increased by about 0.6;the compress intensity is increased by about 1.01MPa;the abrasion rate is debased by about 30%;the coefficient of friction is also debased, the influence from the temperature is lesser and the impact intensity is improved.
