With the development of economy, there are more and more liquid fuels needed. There seems no other energy to replace it in a short time. SOX that generated in combustion of fuels results in acid rain and poisons converted catalysts. All these destroy the environment. Concerning the increasing seriously environmental problems, the world has seen a more and more stringent standard for sulfur content in liquid fuels proposed in many countries. The traditional hydrodesulfurization process (HDS) becomes insufficient with the drastically lower sulfur in fuels. It has now attracted more research groups in finding a more economical and efficient process to obtain low sulfur fuels.Currently, oxidative desulfurization (ODS) was considered one of the promising processes for its mild reaction condition, simple equipment design, and highly efficiency. In addition, as an excellent solid catalyst, the titanium silicalite has played a good performance in the catalytic oxidation reactions. It has reported that thiophene and methyl-thiophene in model gasoline can be removed by oxidation over TS-I/H2O2. The paper studies oxidative desulfurization of gasoline using Titanium Silicalite as catalyst. The paper studies oxidative desulfurization over Ti-containing molecular sieves with different pore size. The study shows that sulfur in gasoline can be removed at atmosphere and low temperature in fixed-bed reactor. The crystal size of TS-1 has a great effect on its performance and desulphurization rate will increase with the decrease of crystal size. For the same Titanium Silicalite, desulphurization varies with components of gasoline. Silver modification can improve the performance of catalyst in desulphurization of gasoline. Catalysts with different pore size show different performance in desulphurization. TS-1 is suitable for thiophene, and Ti-P and Ti-HMS suitable for methyl thiophene and benzothiophene.
