The stainless steel has favorable erosion resistance, wear-resistant and mechanical working properties, it has been widely used in many fields with development of economy. Surface coloring can take the function of increasing erosion resistance and decoration.There are two kinds of coloring technique, one is chemical coloring, another kind is electrochemistry coloring. Chemical coloring is mature technology, and it has been applicated in real production. Electrochemistry coloring is a coloring technique that the stainless steel is immersed solution of CrO3 and H2SO4, and surface generates oxidate coating of Cr, Fe and Ni by electrolysis. Color changes with thickness on film. Electrochemistry coloring electrochemistry coloring is a tendency in the future.Major content of this paper is listed as follows:1. Researching coloring technology of the stainless steel. Technology is optimizated by orthogonal test which elements include density of liquor, coloring time, density of current and temperature of liquor. And the best parameter is determined.2. We read a lot of documentation and discovery that erosion resistance of the stainless steel film hardened get more increasing .in this paper, we use two find methods, one is stearinic acid harding, another is electrolysis harding. and both is reseached by individual element.3. Research property of the stainless steel coloring film, and detect thickness of film , analyse film element composition and chemical valence by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), discuss preliminarily mechanics on erosion resistance of stainless steel coloring film.
