This thesis consists of five chapters. In CHAPTER ONE, literature review summarized actuality and progress on analytical methods of determination of functional contents in compound chemical disinfectants, including phthalaldehyde (OPA), polyhexamethylenebiguanide(PHMB) , benzalkonium chloride(BAC), benzyldimethyldodecylammonium bromide(BAB), glutardialdehyde (GAT) and chlorhexidine. The existing chemical methods, spectral methods and promatographic methods of every content are introduced, respectively. In CHAPTER TWO, A new reversed-phase high-performance liquid chromatographic (RP-HPLC) method has been established for the rapid determination of OPA in compound chemical disinfectants. OPA is separated from matrices on a Shiseido C18 (150×4.6mm, 5μm) column with a temperature at 25℃, using a mobile phase of acetonitrile and water ( 30:70, v/v ) and detected at 262nm. Good linearity was in the range from 20mg/L to 1002mg/L. Recoveries of three different levels were in the range from 91.52% to 108.1%. The limit of detection was 0.5mg/L (S/N=3). The content of OPA in compound chemical disinfectants was 0.48% according to mathematical model established in the present study. Expanded uncertainty was 0.02% and the expression of uncertainty was (0.48 ±0.02) %. The present method is simple, rapid and suitable for the accurate assay of OPA in compound chemical disinfectant. In CHAPTER THREE, A new RP-HPLC mothod has been established for the determination of (BAC) in compound chemical disinfectants. C12-, C14- and C16-BAC were separated from matrices on a Shiseido C18 (150×4.6mm, 5μm) column using a mobile phase of A:B=72:28 (A: acetonitrile, B: 70mmol/L ammonium acetate consisting of 1% triethylamine, adjusted with acetic acid to pH 5.0) and detected at 262nm at 30℃. Good linearities of C12-, C14- and C16-BAC were in the range from 0.04 to 1.6mg/mL, 0.04 to 1.6mg/mL and 0.025 to 1.0mg/mL with relative standard deviations (n=7) of 0.6, 0.6 and...
