This paper provides a innovatory scheme for the software and hardware for Talyrond 73 roundness tester based on the analysis and mersuring of the instrument. At the precondition of keeping the instrument's precision, we design the circuit of signal processor by modeling. The computer is used to acquire data by the special data acquire card. we develop autonomously the software about roundness tester , we have projected the digit wave filter which fills our nation roundness filter standard gauge. There are four algorithms which deals with roundness sign according to the nation standard gauge. The data processing includes:least squares mean circle(LSC), minimum circumscribed circle(MCC), maximum inscribed circle(MIC), and minimum zone circles(MZC). so the testing result is visualing.According to multistep error method,we have developed the program which can separate roundness tester principal axis error by using the multitooth dividing table.At the same time it greatlyincreases the testing accuracy.The real result of the instrument after renovation show: in comparision with traditional,measuring and data processing methed, This instrument is not only in its easy structure,but also in the automation,digitization and visualization of testing process.At the same time it greatly increases testing and data processing speed.and the testing accuracy.
