This paper introduce the phythalic anhydrade process technology by o-xylene fixed-bed oxidation, and also making a view of domestics and overseas reaserch status, meanwhile combined with situation among the Chinese PA enterprises at present, pointting out Chinese PA plant will inevitable go a way which be from a whole plant imported to key equipment imported to possess patical indenpendant innovation technology, finally provided with a whole plant which be maken in our country with international top level.Indicating a blindfording action to the PA enterprises in domestic for the scale benefit. However It should promote the competence and reduce cost in markets base on the exsiting plant, which should be optimized and reformed.Gived a example of a 25000t/a PA plant which was exported Iran, detail described the process, Using the energy analysis based on the thermodynamics principle, showed some optimized measures, and making use of Aspen plus & pinch software to simulate the PA process, and base on the pinch techologly to proceed thermal intergration, and bring forward a reasonable heat exchange net. Save energy 30%, so suppling a new idea and method for save energy.In the optimized process, the light ends colum and product colum will use the hight efficient regular packing instead of the fload vavie tray so that maximum reduce the energy consumption, reasonable using the energy in order to system be thermal integarated according to partial equipments be optimized, saving the one-time investment and a long-time operating cost. On the other hand, base on make use of waste acid solution. The PA plant will obtain a byproduct named Fumaric acid, which has the hight added value.According to the result optimized, designed the PA plant, and also compare with each other. Making a conclusion, as well as the working show a obvious excellence for save energy and reduce cost, and also the PA enterprises will have a good compentice with international PA enterprises.
