The chemistry of organic-inorganic coordination polymers has recentlybecome area of increasing interest. Self-assembly of organic ligands and inorganicmetal ions is one of the most efficient and widely used approaches for theconstruction of organic-inorganic composite materials. In the thesis, we studiedthe syntheses, structures and luminescent properties of 17 new Ag(I)-containingorganic-inorganic coordination complexes generated from corwn ether-containingligands and acyclic polyether-bridged ligands. In addition, 12 newferrocene-containing fulvene molecules and ferrocene-containing cyclopentenonederivatives were synthesized and their electrochemical and luminescent propertieswere investigated.1. Nine new Ag(I)-containing macrocycles and coordination polymersgenerated from crown-containing ligands and AgX (X = BF4-, ClO4-, SbF6-,PF6-) were synthesized: [Ag2(L1)2](BF4)2 (1), [Ag(L2)]BF4·0.5(C6H6) (2),[Ag(L2)]BF4 (3) , [Ag(L2)]SbF6 (4), [Ag(L2)]PF6 (5), [Ag(L2)]ClO4 (6),[Ag(L4)]SbF6·0.5(C6H6) (7), [Ag(L4)]BF4 (8) and [Ag(L4)]ClO4·0.5(C6H6)(9). Their single crystal structures and luminescent properties wereinvestigated in the solid state.2. Eight new Ag(I)-containing coordination polymeric compounds based onacyclic polyether-bridged ligands were obtained: [Ag(L5)]SbF6·(unknownsolvate) (10), [Ag(L5)]BF4·0.5(C6H6)(unknown solvate) (11), [Ag(L6)]SbF6(12), [Ag(L6)(H2O)]BF4 (13), [Ag(L6)(H2O)]ClO4 (14), [Ag(L7)]SbF6·2(C6H6) (15), [Ag(L8)]ClO4 (16) and [Ag(L10)]ClO4 (17). Their singlecrystal structures and luminescent properties were investigated in the solidstate.3. Twelve new ferrocene-containing fulvene molecules andferrocene-containing cyclopentenone derivatives were synthesized. A newstrategy for syntheses of ferrocene-containing cyclopentenone derivativeswas developed. The electrochemistry and the luminescent properties of theseferrocene derivatives were investigated, respectively.The results reported herein demonstrate that the use of corwnether-containing ligands and acyclic polyethe-bridged ligands as precursors tobind transition metal ions, is in fact a new and efficient approach for synthesis ofoxygen-rich metal-organic nanometer-framework and for the choice oforganic-inorganic composite materials with selectivity and ionic recognition;ferrocene derivatives are potentially used as the probe to explore the biologicalactivity and drug working mechanism, and are expected to play an important rolein biology, medicine and chemistry due to their good electrochemical properties.
