With the high-speed development of the economy of our country and the increasing population, urban domestic water and displacement are larger and larger, a great deal of municipal sewage without complete treatment are drained into the water body, which make some water body as drinking water resources slightly polluted. The traditional water treatment process has been already unable to guarantee mankind's demand far the high-quality drinking water at present, even can't offer the qualified drinking water, we need to work out the micro-polluted water source treatment process which can be referenced by waterworks.A new water purification sorbent based on attapulgite, which is used to pretreat micro-polluted water resources, was developed. That is the aim of the task. In this dissertation, modified attapulgite as artificially simulant micro-pollution water resources disposal agent for adsorbing phenol was studied in the lab, discussing adsorbing parameters and mechanism, which affect the adsorbing process. The purpose is to finding out a high-effect and cheap water purification sorbent, with good adsorbing effect on phenol in micro-polluted water resources. These parameters mainly included the attapulgite morphology, the modifying time, and solution pH etc. Experiment results show the following regular patterns. For artificial confecting organic micro-polluted water resources which including phenol 10mg/L,the best condition of organic modified attapulgite adsorbing phenol in micro-polluted water is: t=20℃, pH=6~8, adsorbing time is 40min, the modifying reagent concentration is 5g/L, modifying time is 2h, modified attapulgite dosage is 40g/L.By relying on the test methods of spectrophotometer, scanning electron microscope, infrared spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis, the adsorbing type, mechanism and factors with effect the adsorbing dosage under the optimum technical parameter were studied. The attapulgite adsorb mechanism include physical absorption and chemical adsorption. The former one include Debye force and London force, and include coagulant effect and depth filtration between molecules as well. The mechanism, modified attapulgite by poly dimethyldiallylammonium chloride (PDMDAAC) adsorbing phenol in micro-polluted water resources, can be simply described as follows: phenol was adsorbed at attapulgite surface and in the hole,so a adsorption layer come into being at solid surface and augment the attapulgite's adsorbing ability tophenol. On the one hand, the positive charge, on the modified attapulgite's surface, form static adsorption with the negative charge taked by phenol and augment physical adsorption;on the other hand, PDMDAAC take place reaction with phenol and form compound. In this dissertation, the author recommend using organic modifier to modify attapulgite as micro-polluted water resources disposal agent for adsorbing phenol, experiment results show that the adsorbs ratio of the phenol is 89%. In brief, this dissertation provide an indeed method for disposing the phenol in micro-polluted water resources.
